# Chinese natural stones

After a long journey from China, via Belgium, these natural stones initially ended up in the center of Heerenveen, where they served for many years.

 But times change, and with the [redevelopment of Heerenveen's central shopping area,](https://www.programmacentrumheerenveen.nl/project/kernwinkelgebied/) the stones are being given a new purpose. Most of the stones have been sold and are being reused elsewhere, but some are finding a permanent home in the Le Roy Garden in Heerenveen and the Ecocathedral Mildam.

 The first pieces have now been neatly delivered by driver Arjen from [Transportbedrijf Bakker in Reduzum](https://www.transportbedrijfbakker.nl/) , commissioned by [KWS Infra](https://kws.nl) . The stones will be incorporated into the ecocathedral structures by the volunteers in the coming weeks.
